Ruide Sain Wastewater Reclamation Plant. The total investment of the project is 180 million yuan, covering an area of approximately 14,000 square meters, with a processing capacity of 30,000 tons/day. In 2013, the project officially began supplying desalinated water, circulating water, and softened water to the steam turbines, high-pressure boilers, and other industrial equipment of Tianjin Petrochemical's thermal power department. Replacing the original boiler's source of Baodi groundwater, it saves more than 10 million tons of precious fresh water resources annually, achieving the goal of "near-zero fresh water consumption" for industrial water use in Tianjin Petrochemical. At the same time, it reduces the environmental pollution caused by the direct discharge of large amounts of wastewater into rivers and near-shore areas, reduces the pollution of soil by high-salt and high-alkali water, and alleviates a series of problems such as land subsidence caused by excessive groundwater extraction.

The project's four major technical process stages—multi-media treatment unit, ultrafiltration unit, reverse osmosis unit, and ion exchange unit—demonstrate four high, one low, and one recycling technical advantages: [High Quality] Using advanced technologies, wastewater is deeply treated and reused to produce high-quality desalinated water for Tianjin Petrochemical Company. [High Water Production Rate] Through continuous innovation and improvement of on-site process technology, multiple patented technologies and utility models have been adopted, resulting in a system water production rate of 80%. [High Safety] A complete risk identification, risk control system, and emergency plan. [High Stability] Safe and reliable equipment and a professional technical maintenance team. [Low Energy Consumption] Using ion exchanger regeneration and recovery technology, the recovered regeneration waste liquid is used for weak anion bed regeneration and ultrafiltration system cleaning, saving hydrochloric acid and liquid alkali consumption and reducing operating costs. The project uses photovoltaic energy for green production. [Energy Reuse] Advanced wastewater heat pump technology is used to replace coal-fired gas boilers and refrigeration equipment, directly converting the energy of treated wastewater into heating and cooling for the factory and office areas, reducing energy consumption.

The project is equipped with a smart ecological water affairs big data management platform that comprehensively and accurately records data from various design, debugging, management, and operation stages, and conducts systematic analysis to provide data support and security for stable operation and improved management levels.
