Redsun Group and the Green Economy Association jointly explore new paths for green development

2025-07-23

Both parties have reached a cooperation consensus and will deepen cooperation in areas such as reed carbon sink development and standardized construction of zero-carbon parks in the future. They will jointly explore a new green development model of "ecological governance + industrial empowerment" and contribute industrial strength to achieving the "dual carbon" goal.

On May 22, Deng Jihai, Executive President of the International Green Economy Association, Liu Xiaolei, Director, and Wu Yan, Deputy Director of the Industry Center, visited Redsun to investigate and research the practices and experience of the reed industry in green economic development and to promote strategic cooperation between the two parties. Lin Hongxin, Chairman of the Redsun Group, and relevant personnel from the marketing center accompanied the meeting. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on topics such as the development trends of the biomass energy industry, corporate business strategies, and cooperation mechanisms for green zero-carbon circular economic ecological industries.

At the meeting, Lin Hongxin, Chairman of the Redsun Group, detailed the group's green zero-carbon circular economic ecological industrial layout centered on reed planting. Redsun has been deeply involved in the fields of saline-alkali land improvement and the resource utilization of organic solid waste. From wastewater treatment and sludge disposal to biomass fuel production, a green zero-carbon chain has been formed, creating a benchmark project for the future zero-carbon transformation of the Tianjin Dagang Petrochemical Industrial Park. Through a 100,000-ton fiber project, annual carbon emissions are reduced by 700,000 tons, creating a reed biomass mine and, combined with green electricity and biomass applications, showcasing the innovative vitality of private enterprises in green transformation.

The Green Association highly recognized Redsun Group's technical system and project practices and proposed that it could provide support in policy coordination and resource integration. The association will utilize its think tank resources and government cooperation experience and plans to assist Redsun Group in implementing a national-level new material base demonstration project, helping it become the largest supplier of biomass fuel and raw materials in the country. Currently, the group plans to plant 20 million mu of reeds by 2032, achieving 100 million tons of fuel annually and promoting the efficient development of biomass.

Both parties reached a consensus on cooperation and will deepen cooperation in areas such as reed carbon sink development and standardized construction of zero-carbon parks in the future, jointly exploring a new green development model of "ecological governance + industrial empowerment" and contributing industrial strength to achieving the "dual carbon" goals.
