To gain a deeper understanding of the integration and development path of ecological environmental protection and biomass new energy, on May 13, Wang Weiquan, deputy secretary-general of the Renewable Energy Professional Committee of the China Energy Research Society; Liu Yanjing, senior engineer of Beijing Guanhua Tsinghua Environmental Engineering Design Research Institute Co., Ltd.; Fan Fengming, technical director of Beijing Aokurifeng New Energy Co., Ltd.; Li Hu, R&D manager; and Lei Zhichao, technical manager, visited Redsun Group to inspect the Arundo donax green zero-carbon circular economy closed-loop demonstration project and conduct discussions. Lin Hongxin, chairman of the board, and Zhou Lin, vice president, were among those who received them.
Redsun Group, using its subsidiaries as core carriers, has built a "green zero-carbon circular economy closed-loop" system with Arundo donax "Green Oasis No. 1" as the link, integrating multiple business sectors such as new materials, water affairs, solid waste, new energy, and testing, to achieve synergistic development of ecological, environmental, and economic benefits. During the inspection, Vice President Shi Jing and Zhang Delong, general manager of the new energy company, introduced the research and development of Arundo donax planting, its advantages, and its value transformation path, allowing the visiting leaders to truly feel its pivotal role in ecological restoration, circular economy, and carbon reduction and sequestration.
At the symposium, the leaders discussed core issues surrounding the implementation of the Arundo donax industry, including land acquisition methods, market demand at the application end, and policy and financial support. Liu Yanjing from Guanhua Tsinghua suggested using the EOD development model to incorporate Arundo donax planting into regional ecological governance projects to achieve a balance in industrial returns. Fan Fengming, technical director of Aokurifeng, pointed out that in the operation of Arundo donax projects, cost control through EPC at the planting end is a core path to ensuring the sustainable profitability of enterprises at the application end. Lin Hongxin, chairman of Redsun, considering the future market competitiveness of the Arundo donax project, suggested using BOT to improve the integrated construction of planting and processing, making it more commercially valuable. Wang Weiquan, deputy secretary-general, stated that strengthening industrial chain collaboration and technological integration is an important link in promoting the large-scale implementation of Arundo donax projects under the "dual carbon" goals. Creating a benchmark Arundo donax project that is "low-cost, high-carbon sequestration, and sustainable" is essential to fully leveraging the project cooperation mechanism. Finally, all parties agreed that diversified development methods are crucial to helping the industry transition from technological verification to large-scale expansion.
This meeting, through the exchange of ideas, brought together a multi-faceted consensus on the development of the Arundo donax industry. It is hoped that this will serve as an opportunity to accelerate the aggregation of technology, capital, and market elements, helping the Arundo donax industry to establish distinctive advantages in the "dual carbon" sector.
