Polyploid Miscanthus, trade name "Green Oasis No. 1," is a new type of energy plant cultivated by Redsun researchers using gene editing, synthetic biology, and other technologies. In North China, the yield of dry matter during the high-yield period can reach 4 tons or more per mu. "Green Oasis No. 1" is cold-resistant and salt-alkali-resistant, and its growth is not affected in saline-alkali soil with a salt content of less than 5‰. It can safely overwinter at -20°C in the north. It can be planted in areas north of 42° latitude, below 1000 meters above sea level, and with annual rainfall greater than 500 mm, and can be harvested continuously for 20 years after a single planting. As a highly adaptable perennial herb, Miscanthus, due to its well-developed root system, large biomass, and ability to enrich heavy metals, has become a natural "ecological guardian" for soil remediation.
